About Me:

Born in Elyria, Ohio, I started painting at the age of 8; studying oils and acrylic from my grandfather. This led me to pursue fine arts at Columbus College of Art and Design. Upon graduation in 1999, I've found work in Industrial Design; working at a consulting firm developing products for fortune 500 companies.

I've recently joined the local artist group W.A.G.E in February 2009. This group has revived my passions for Fine Arts and I look forward to open dialogue in this group as well as from viewers of my site.

About My Work:

My work is primarily the study of light. Subjects, settings or landscapes; I am intrigued by the contrast of values as well as the "temperature" of color that is a result from light. I currently work in Pastels and Oils; in the past I've done pencil drawings and oil paintings and found that pastels are a comfortable middle ground.

As newer works come online, I will be posting short descriptions of thoughts and process. Thank you for viewing the site and please feel free to post comments or critiques located on the contact page.
